Welcome.. to the MUSEUM OF FAILURE!
/grandpa
I've been wanting to make a thread on the subject of ANGEL /angel GAMES for a while, since most shit that didn't come out is way fucking BETTER than shit that did.
I'll start with a rare JFPS by Team SONIC;
Fifth Phantom Saga
This looks way more stylish and original than any other FPS coming out around the same time (except killer7, it was shown the same year in 2005)— like if Kamiya directed an FPS. /swoon I find it interesting they were clearly taking inspiration from Half Life 2's Source physics and thinking of how that could be implemented and integrated in an "anime" (Japanese) way via something like a "Stand" from JoJo.
Post any dead projects you were interested in; as always, the best resource for ANGEL GAMES is Unseen64.

Re: Museum of FAILure
This demo actually makes the game look like shit. The one I like the best is the older shorter one which shows less of everything. They basically did make this many years later as Little Nightmares, a game which I've heard is good but still doesn't really interest me due to having a lot of gameplay. Credit where it's due: it's a game with cool things in it, something which is becoming rare.
We see a deadly sin on every street corner, in every home, and we tolerate it.
Re: Museum of FAILure
It probably would have been about freeing the proletariat from a clockwork police state with no sun or something. Maybe things turned out for the best.

Thanks for reminder about City of Metronome, I somehow forgot about it.
Well, the subject of games that were never released is a very tragic one, and I will be returning to it all the time.
Today, I'll just leave a video of Underworld by Haruhiko Shono (creator of Gadget: Past as Future).
Also don't forget that Haruhiko Shono & David Lynch wanted to make a game together:
