Here’s some beta and pre-release trailers for Killer7. Most of the high quality uploads were provided by BigManJapanSC. I have tried to place them in release order to the best of my abilities; However, a lot of information has been lost to time due to the fact that many of the websites they were originally hosted on have been taken offline through the decades, so keep in mind I may have made some mistakes.
Capcom Secret DVD (Weekly Famitsu) CAP-J-021122
This trailer was released on the Capcom Secret DVD, bundled with the December the 6th, 2002 issue of Weekly Famitsu; It is the same trailer that was shown at the announcement of the Capcom Five project in November 2002. This trailer was also featured on on Le Catalogue des Nouveautés GameCube: Automne Hiver 2003 DVD, you can find some info about it HERE and a copy of it HERE.
Famitsu Wave DVD Vol.28
A remixed version of the previous trailer, released on February 2003.
Gameplay Footage
An earlier version of TGS 2003 trailer that shows Humanoid Smiles instead of Heaven Smiles.
Tokyo Game Show 2003 Capcom Special DVD CAPJ-30926
This trailer was released during TGS 2003, which would have taken place in September of that year. At this point of development, the game still featured the Temple of Horizon level and certain cutscenes involving Curtis Blackburn which were exclusive to the beta. It also features the appearance of Sundance Shot from Flower, Sun, and Rain. Check out THIS editorial for my thoughts on the matter. This copy of the trailer was ripped from the Capcom Special DVD.
Gekkan Nintendo Tentou Demo 2004.1.1
A shorter version of the TGS 2003 trailer.
Meiwaku Seijin: Panic Maker PS2 SLPM 65642 NTSC-J — Special Movies
This trailer has been labelled as the “E3 2003” trailer by some sources, which would have taken place in June of that year. However, due to the state of development compared to the previous TGS 2003 trailer, I believe those sources might be wrong. Some of the cutscenes and voice acting are already finalized, even though most of the game’s aesthetics and UI are still those of the beta. This copy of the trailer was ripped from a copy of Meiwaku Seijin: Panic Maker, which released in mid-2004 (a date more consistent with the development progress shown in the trailer).
Famitsu Wave DVD August E3 2004
A slightly altered version of the previous trailer.
Tokyo Game Show 2004 Capcom Special DVD CAPJ-40924
This trailer was ripped from the 2004 TGS Capcom Special DVD and it is also found on the Cube DVD 20 (40) disc. It is a mix of beta clips, with the old UI, some old character models and a few shots of the Temple of Horizon, and finalized clips that barely differ from the commercial release, if at all. From this point onward, trailers will mostly be comprised of clips taken from the final release of the game.
Tokyo Game Show 2004
This trailer was released during TGS 2004, which would have taken place in September of that year. It can be found on Soul Bullet Bonus DVD and on the Dengeki PS2 D73 Special Eizou DVD, bundled with Dengeki PS2 Volume 287.
Electronic Gaming Monthly: Volume 3 — New Games
This trailer was ripped from the 3rd DVD volume of Electronic Gaming Monthly, which was released at some point during the second half of 2004.
Trance DVD “Tamatama Mix” — 2004 WINTER ver. trailer
This trailer was released at some point during the winter of 2004 and ripped from the Soul Bullet Bonus DVD.
Biohazard 4 Secret DVD
This trailer was ripped from a copy of the Biohazard 4 Secret DVD, a preorder bonus which would have been released in January of 2005, alongside the aforementioned game. To my understanding, this is a collection of individual character trailers that were released online separately.
Cube DVD 16 (44) DVD-Video
A slightly remixed version of the previous trailer, ripped from the Cube DVD 16.
Capcom Secret DVD CAPJ-050217
Another slightly remixed version of the previous trailer, this time ripped from the Capcom Secret DVD.
Trance DVD “Tamatama Mix” — 2005 SPRING ver. trailer
This trailer was released at some point during the spring of 2005, shortly before the Japanese release of the game. It was ripped from the Soul Bullet Bonus DVD.
E3 Access 2005 (Nintendo)
This trailer was released during E3 2005, which would have taken place during June of that year, around the time of the Japanese release of the game.
Sabra サブラ Super Extra DVD 19 Trailer
Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine Demo 94 PS2 SCUS 97446
A trailer ripped from the Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine Demo Disc 094, released in July 2005, coinciding with the western release of the game.
Tentou Promotion DVD CAP-05078
This trailer was ripped from the Killer7 Tentou Promotion DVD, presumably also coinciding with the release of the game. You can find more info on said DVD HERE.
