Yu Gi Oh's creator was found dead in the ocean

I'm not going to lie. I had no clue who did dude was. I always assumed Yu Gi Oh was just some product Konami cooked up that took off and remained popular. Reminds me of the Death of the Crayon Shin Chan manga's dead. Out during something recreational by himself, and then people run across his corpse.
It was apparently a snorkling accident. Why was a 60 year old man out swimming with no partner? That is just foolish in general. I'm sure his age didn't help in whatever situation lead to this. People got to come to grips with their age sooner or later.
