Fighting games are basically Triple AAAss productions now because they've toned themselves down (in terms of edgy content, as well as the formerly naturally high skill-barrier of entry) enough to the point where fighting games are now considered a staple of modern gaming.

For fucks sake, if you buy a modern fighting game they're always about 100 gb big. This is the case for King of Fighters XV of all things and WWE 2k24. It's weird, modern WWE games play like fighting games now. It has actual combos. They're actually fun to play now. WWE's combat used to just be QTE movies that you activate through button prompts like the Yakuza games.
Humorously I think that the Yakuza games play way better as rpgs because it can now showcase the QTE movies it always had without it feeling awkward or out of place since some of the games are now turn-based.

I hate that I'm still really big into fighters because they're now Triple A productions which means that you can really only store 2 or 3 of these games within a 1 tb hard drive before you have to delete some shit.

I miss the days when fighters had small install sizes with Soul Calibur 6 probably being the last of that era. (It's also a way better fightier than modern fighting games.)


In other news, Virtua Fighter 6 is finally coming out, made by the Yakuza team and they even gave Akira a gangsta make over and he actually looks cool. They finally made that boring fuck look cool.

Isuka gonna like this, Mai Shiranui is in Street Fighter 6 and they actually didn't censor her at all. She's not wearing a full thong but she really only wore the thong in the KOF games any way. I don't think she ever wore a thong in the Fatal Fury games.


What I find amusing is how in a game where everybody has a jiggly ass (including Zangief), Mai's ass jiggle doesn't stand out as much as it did way back in the 90s when really her only competition was Shermie.
I like how they made Mai look so damn Japanese. (She looks like one who is equally mixed with Yayoi & Jomon genetics.) She has the cat eyes and everything. Kinda like how Chun Li looks very Chinese and now resembles her Super Street Fighter 2 art.


I haven't played SF6 yet. I recently bought a PS5 (gaming pcs that can play Triple A 2025 games are too fucking expensive. I'd rather buy a new pimp coat for thousands of dollars instead of some lame computer or gaming system. I wanted a gayman pc for $500 but I settled with a PS5.)
but when I bought a PS5 there was a buy 2 get 1 free deal so I had to 'settle' for King of Fighters XV along with Cyberpunk & Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth.

I didn't really like the previous KOF game, but XV is the best modern 2d style fighter I've played since, well I really don't know. I don't even consider Street Fighter 4 as good but XV really has none of the issues that modern SF games have. I haven't played SF6 yet, but it does look to be the best game out of SF4, 5, & 6.

It's like the problem with modern Resident Evil. Resident Evil 4 Remake really does feel like the best game ever if you play it right after RE 7 & RE 8 which both have barebones combat. When you compare RE4 Remake to the wider history of gaming then RE4make is just mid especially when compared to the original Re4 that I still play to this day.



In other news, Ninja Gaiden 4 is coming out and thank god that Ninja Gaiden is finally back. (I'm sick and tired of SoulsLikes and the only Fromsoft souls game that's even fun to me was BloodBorne.)
Ninja Gaiden 2, Resident Evil 4 & Streets of Rage 2. Those 3 are basically my favorite action games that I rebuy on every single platform they're on, that I own.

Too bad the artstyle of the NG2 remake is pretty ugly or generic looking when compared to the orignal.
Gotta love how Remake stans call the modern artstyle "REALISTIC!" MUH REALISM! when Sophia fucking looks like a Japanese woman now. Last I checked, she used to be White. She's supposed to be Irene Lew. Sophia changed ethnicities when the graphic style became "REALISTIC" and nobody seems to care lol.

Realistic is just a zoomer cope, to justify these 100 gb $70 remakes of games that were originally only 5 gb big. A buzz word that these nu-fans use. It's like when they claim realism for Silent Hill 2 remake's bland ass art style when the reality is that the unreal 5 engine is the reason why the graphics look like shit. It doesn't have to be, Metal Gear Solid 3 looks damn good and I'm almost tempted to finally buy an overpriced fool price $70 gaem just because it's MGS and a gud MGS game at that. (I just replayed the MGS saga on the Switch and Metal Gear Solid 1 & 3 are way better than I remembered. MGS2 is aight. I think i liked all of the pics of hot Japanese & White girls that were plastered all over MGS2 more than I did the actual scenario which was just endless talking about pointless bullshit. JACK do you remember what day it was Jack! Jack JACK it was my birthday or some shit or the anniversary of when oh by the way Raiden, I think they appeared intimate.)

What I'm really hype for is Capcom Fight Collection 2.
A lot of my fave fighters of all time are in this collection.
Cap vs Snk 2, Rival Schools, SFAlpha 3 Upper

When I first dropped out of high school (school just makes you retarded. You don't actually learn anything in public school. If you did, it wouldn't be 'free'.), I played Rival Schools nearly every day.
I really related with Akira's crew, because she led the Rival Schools team of the gangsters.


BTW, they're planning to sell GTA 6 for $100. Gaming is dead. Seriously gaming schools all teach their students on making the games more inclusive & diverse rather than focusing on shit that actually matters such as rule sets & game design.
It's bad enough that they focus so much time on story when damn near nobody within videogaming can write a proper story. The few who could got cancelled from the entire gaming industry. The only ones left are basically retired now like Hironobu Sakaguchi.
