She's actually the same voice actress across all games https://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/ch ... /Bad-Girl/
I agree she sounds completely different though. Then again so does everybody else. 14 years have passed and I'm assuming they are operating under a different voice director

What! Wow, that's a huge downgrade in style then. Maybe she's having throat problems now or something, because that's a huge difference. I know that's what happened to the voice actress for Marge from the Simpsons. She sounds nothing like she originally did.
because the combat is all shown in stillshots
They showed off actual realtime combat back in the release date trailer months ago. Its looks like a flashier version of NMH1's combat. The Death Glove looks kind of interesting. Like adding casting options to the game.

There's a full 20 minutes gameplay video out, yet nobody is talking about it for some reason.
The game looks like it will be beloved by no more heroes fans. They don't show the open world, but the framerate dips into deadly premonition 2 levels as soon as the open world is loaded though lol.
I personally think the game looks like trash, I've tried not to post about it too much because people get upset when I shit on the NMH sequels but holy shit.
Travis Strikes Again looked much better on a purely visual level.
It obviously had a lower budget, but it had a more interesting visual style. NMH3 looks worse than NMH1.
The writing is also horrible. TSA had a lot of rick and morty style pop culture humor, but the writing flowed much better than it does here. (You get dialogue scenes around the 13 minute mark in that video.)
I'm honestly wondering if Suda wrote the dialogue at all, considering it sounds more like No More Heroes 2 or SOTD drivel where pointing out that a videogame is indeed a videogame that plays like a videogame for 5 minutes, is considered genious humor. How does link carry all that stuff!? Ahah!
I know Suda is perfectly capable of writing in the same exact style he used in the late 90s, early 2000s because the newly written chapters of The 25th Ward are virtually indistinguishable from the original ones. (I had no idea the chapter where Shiroyabu fights a version of himself as a terrorist in a flashback was written in 2017 at all when I first played it. I assumed it was part of the original script. The new Placebo chapter written by Ooka even ties all the way back to Moonlight Syndrome.) NMH3 has three directors, one of which is the director of NMH2 which might be why the writing sounds a lot closer to that game than the original or TSA.
I really was too harsh on TSA, but that comes from me being mostly a fan of the silver case games & killer7 I guess. TSA has all sorts of cameos from Suda's older games, but they mostly serve the purpose of painting travis touchdown as some sort of demigod that everyone respects and worships. The game was better than 90% of GHM's output though, and there were some nuggets of very good writing in there. (The Badman scenario was especially good.)
NMH3 is also going to have some crossover as well, since one of the characters is apparently a new model of Kamui (he's called Kamui Newtype as a Gundam joke because lol pop culture I know the thing YES!!) and one of the bosses (Midorikawa) is connected to Kousuke Kurumizawa.
The 25th Ward also had a bunch of Gundam jokes but they were all scrapped in the english translation for some reason. Like "Yaburo" being changed to "Jabroni" and all the gundam jokes in the endings being turned into Batman jokes for some fucking reason that escapes me. I guess someone in the translation team really liked that destructoid analysis which posited that the final boss of No More Heroes 2 was an allegory of Batman, wearing the colors of the Joker and that was actually very deep. https://www.destructoid.com/analyzing-n ... es-part-2/
The new silver case comic which acts as an origin story for Midorikawa also has a cameo from Garcian Smith, though I am too lazy to scan it. I might scan the english version once it comes out in a couple of weeks.

I think TSA is okay. That's just my personal taste though. I don't cream my panties over it like most of its fanbase, who seems to think of it as some intellectual milestone (it isn't).
I feel I've been too harsh on it overall, because nmh3 looks so unbelievably shitty.
I know you like SOTD which I really don't care for, though I do agree with you that it has some cool aesthetic design. What else do you like that I don't? I think Killer is Dead is okay too. I like it more or less as much as TSA. The games I actually care about are the ones listed on the website though. No More Heroes 2 sold enough to finance the DS port of FSR, I just hope NMH3 is successful enough to warrant that HD remake of FSR they've been promising for years
EDIT: the game will apparently have some visual novel segments like TSA. https://nmh.marv.jp/nmh3/other/
I hope that means at least part of it will be written by Masahi Ooka, his Badman scenario in TSA was my favourite part of the game.

Young Harman in NMH3, the overpass even looks like the one in Killer7
I doubt it's gonna be anything more than a five second nameless cameo though

lol all of the characters here other than travis & midorikawa remind me of the heaven smile, especially sonic juice.

Wow, i didn't know the release was this close. I need to hurry up and finish TSA. Apparently, she's reference some KTP stuff or something going by the comments. I'm liking the music. For a while, I thought it would be more generic punk shit like in NMH2. Looks like its going for more variety.
