Jack wrote: Thu Mar 04, 2021 12:57 pmAsellus is like the case of a character who would be extremely political among you American fucktards coz she was LGBT way before it was even cool. A perceptive mind like moi, already knew that she & Rosa are actually a reference to Utena though lol.
Hilariously enough, Asellus' homosexuality in the original was from her becoming more or less a vampire. She marries a man when she becomes just a humie again. That's too redpilled for the Current Year (pointing out that there are no real female homosexuals in the sense of only being drawn to women, rather just sexual abuse victims and would-be mental patients and manhaters). I don't know if the remake changed this.
I doubt the remake will change it, that would require effort, AYY LMAO!
They're actually adding in more stories & paths in Asellus's story, but it's because it was cut out of the original release. The Shrine maiden was meant to have a stronger role in one of Asellus's paths.

I think Asellus actually was attracted to White Rose coz if you get the ending where Asellus grows up to become an old granny on a rocking chair she actually does pine for Rosa & wishes that she were still a vampire. There's several variations to her ending, where sometimes her eyes will glow.
The best ending is when you hook up with Rose anyway, because you become a king and rule your own kingdom and you live for hundreds of years still in your prime.

Most women are bi-sexual anyway. They're attracted to dominance & charisma, which men generally have a more ample supply of.
As I said though, Asellus was really just a reference to Utena.
Even in the Utena coupling, the attraction was centralized around power & dominance.

Us men, we genuinely are attracted to women, for who they are and don't want anything in return.
Women are wired differently though, and I don't even need to explain it coz modern American culture is tailored towards women, and their weird mindset. Women nearly always want something in exchange for being with you. When you're a good looking man, that exchange you give them, is being seen with you or having done something with you, because they value you as a high-status male

That's why you even see them allowing Trannies to literally break the skulls of biological women in professional sports, lol. Trannys are High-status in American culture. It's why you so many people suddenly transitioning. Hilariously this trend kickstarted into high gear in the USA through Bruce Jenner, who suddenly came out shortly after he actually killed a woman in a 'car accident'.

As I said, women only respect power & dominance. If a foreign tribe killed you, and kept your woman. Chances are, she'll forget that you ever existed, as she's getting banged by King Conan who can't even remember or even cares about her name, coz to him she's just a prize that he won to be added into his collection. She won't mind, because his power brings with him security.

The funny thing about Utena, it influenced dumbass shit like Steve Universe, and that's my problem with LGBT in general. I ain't got no problem with hot girls who happen to be lesbians or bisexual or whatever the fuck.
It's only a problem to me when you're butt ugly but the only thing that stands out about you is your professed sexuality, which is how most of the LGBT come off. Most of them look like unkempt disease-ridden slobs who don't even take a shower, but I'm supposed to magically care about them coz they're trans post-human gender binary or something.

When Japan does LGBT shit, they're not trying to rebel against some patriarchy. Japan is a patriarchy. When they do story lines like Asellus or Utena, it's not with the intent of destroying the system or rebelling against oppression. It's just a story they wrote, with the intent of entertainment.
When Ghost in the Shell was originally conceived, they out right tell you that Kusanagi's real name, gender & age are unknown. We eventually find out that Kusanagi was a biological woman before she became a cyborg, by the time of Gits Sac 2 . The initial intent of Motoko's character was to shine more light on to what made her human, rather than machine which was why she was originally labeled as genderless.
It weirds me out how American Trannys see this Cyberpunk shit, and then completely misinterpret the message by pretending that Cyberpunk is a LGBT Utopia when it's actually a Dystopia where normal labels that consider us as human, are now nothing more than a commodity.
Your identity is a commodity, your ethnicity is a commodity, your sex & gender are a corporate-owned commodity. You the individual no longer own what were once birth given genetic inheritance.
When stripped of all of that, what makes you a human? That's what GITS was asking but American Trannoids just completely misinterpret every thing and then ban everyone who disagrees, out of the internet.

In American LGBT bullshit, they be acting like they're X-men, as if they have super powers and are being oppressed because no one understands them. Asellus's story wasn't anything like that at all.
She actually wants to come back to her normal real life, but through the gameplay you can gradually make her accept her new life or come back. She was actually Red's friend or something, but even he ended up becoming a Sentai hero, so Asellus being some Lesbian Queen Demon thing was to me, just a power that she had which was of comparable value to Red being some Power Ranger. Mystic Asellus is actually way stronger though, coz she doesn't need to power up to be at full force. Her story is about being given power, and you the player control how much she's willing to accept her new powers (to the point that you kill the guy who gave you those powers.), or to completely reject it.

Asellus's story is similar to Demifiend's from Shin Megami Tensei 3 Nocturne Maniacs. (It didn't have the same Asellus overtones in the original Japanese SMT3.)
Asellus's story is far more interesting to me though precisely due to her relationship with White Rose, which at the start, they felt way more like sisters rather than lovers.
Asellus actually had a human element via White Rose which created an internal conflict in her head that could slightly nudge her forward as a Mystic or further away from it.
Demifiend had no such influence to convince him to move towards the Demon side, aside for maybe Lucifer but that Luci motherfucker is basically just some exposition bot and doesn't even feel like a character.

Ironically if I were Demifiend, I would've nuked humanity too if the only 3 other humans left in the world were Widow's Peak guy who basically just wants to live life like a fucking plant, Hipster fag who wants a global safespace & cute but fucking crazy rich bitch who has the same exact mindset as Bill Gates types, but she's far more literal with it lol.
Ignoring all the geeks and coomers in threads there yapping about how totally not faggy they are for being willing to let a manjaw like Chyna peg them, some of the posts are rather informative:
While I don't consider her attractive in the slightest,
I consider Chyna feminine, because she acts completely like a submissive female while in the presence of real men. It's something that a lot of modern bois don't understand coz they were raised in a culture where only women are allowed to be projected as strong & of high mental-fortitude.
Chyna is not a threat at all, coz she like all women, willingly submit while in the presence of a real man.
Trannoids will physically force you to admit that they're a woman (like in that worldstar hiphop vid I linked to.), which is way more of a manly behavior.
Men solve problems through violence coz violence is just our extension of our philosophy and how far we're willing to go to make that reality happen. That's why Yakuza games are all resolved through violence, this is why MtoF Trannys force you to comply with their assertions of being a woman, by beating the shit out of you.
Trannys claim to be women, but they still 100% think & act like a man.

I know I won't have to fight Chyna, coz she will naturally comply with my demands due to how she's naturally submissive. A tranny, I will have to prepare to put down, because they will use physical force to force their ideas on to me.

When I say Real man, I'm not referring to someone like Duke Nukem, who is more of an extreme example of a man.
When I say real man, I'm referring more to their presence, their aura.
A Real Man is someone like Gus Fring. He's like only 5'7 but you'd never guess coz he completely projects this aura of dominance over everybody. He looks like some random nerd, but the way he carries himself is just so damn manly that most women would willingly submit to him, if they acknowledged his dominance.
"Futanari" as you see in hentai shit are really just a fantasy of closest homosexuals since anyone with a female body wouldn't be able to have two sets of functioning genitals.
I don't have a problem with drawn futanari, coz it's just a drawing. In Japanese hentai, they were originally drawn as women. They only added a dick because they didn't feel like drawing a guy, lol.
It's similar to how tentacle porn was birthed, because Japs weren't allowed to show actual intercourse with a dick. Futanari is the same concept, except they outright do not want to waste their time on drawing dudes, so they just add a dick on a woman.
In some circles, Lesbian porn is considered as the least gay because you don't have to see a naked male at all. That's generally how I perceive dick girls from hentai. It's basically just two girls with a permanently strapped on dildo.

I can conceptualize a cartoon character as a woman, because it's not real. A cartoon is whatever the creator intended it to be.
I can't do the same thing with a human because they were actually born a man, and weren't conceptualized as a woman and never will be a woman. They can't give birth, nor have periods.
I live in the North, so I pass by trannies all the time. It's not a pretty sight. You'd think they would at least wear perfume to mask their manly scent but American trannies are weird, coz they put in zero effort to pass themselves off as women.
Jack wrote: Thu Mar 04, 2021 12:57 pmLOL Americans, and their funny made up words. Why do you need to be of a political bent when it comes to this dumbass gender issue that only Americans over-politicize? Trannys have been around for centuries. Even motherfucking Thailand merely categorized them into a 3rd gender, which is necessary because they still conscript their army. Unlike the motherfucking USgay, Thailand doesn't want tranny sissies fucking up the cohesiveness & strength of their own military.
I was just pointing out that "intersex" is a buzzword since it groups together all sorts of mutants and deformed into one "3rd sex." Politics, nothing more. Need I point out that homosexuality was classified as a pathology until the LBGTOWAM crowd chimpedout and "lobbied" (read: use their ties to degenerates in office and big business) for it to get removed.
[/quote]

I was referencing "Alt-right" as a made up term, although yes the USA's love for redefining words such as gender, racist & fascist have caused the USA's image to fall drastically, coz if Ameriturds don't take their own language seriously, than why should the rest of us? What's with the way Amertards use the word Fascist? Do they not realize that it's a term that refers to a type of governance? A term that aptly describes Biden's government, the merger of corporations & the state. Except the USA is so cucked, that it's the Corporations who call the shots in the USA, not the State, or rather the Corporations are the State.

In actual Fascism, the one that Benito Mussolini fathered, the Corporations were supposed to merge & bow down to The State, which was the government. It's hilarious how Trump is called a Fascist, coz it shows a lack of comprehension on what that word actually means. What did he actually control? Damn near every single corporation in the entire USA hated him, and the only reason he was kinda relevant is coz he controls his own corporation.
At most you could say that he was just some populist revolt cult figure, not unlike Zhang Jue of The Yellow Turban Rebellion. Bernie Sanders, & Tulsi Gabbard would fall within this same category of populist revolt.
The Ron Paul family remind me of Han loyalists, who constantly warn everyone that the Empire has fallen, but nobody listens.

Except Trump would be some alt-reality Zhang Jue that teamed up with Dong Zhuo, only to get backstabbed by Dong Zhuo. Except, Dong is way more cunning than the GOP are. The GOP are more like The Eunuchs of the latter Han period. (Which is where we're at right now in the USA's version of history.)
I guess Dong Zhuo is more like the DNC, since Dong himself was actually fairly successful at taking control over everything, despite the wishes of what the people AKA rabble may have cried for. He only fell due to literal backstabbing, and the DNC is constantly fighting with itself due to in-fighting between their millennials & boomers who have completely different ideas on what the DNC should be.
Cao Cao was Conservative, but American Cuckservatives are nothing like Cao Cao so Trump's equivalent to the GOP would indeed be The Han's Eunuchs who act way more like Cuckservatives, ayyy lmao.

Allegedly, Alt-right is meant to segregate White seperatist or supremacist view points, as if that were an exclusively Right wing perspective, when historically, it's always been Left wingers (& still is Leftys) who are systematically racist. You can even ask Malcolm X. He damn near says the same exact shit that I always say about the DNC. There's a reason why the USA only wants you to emulate MLK, and not Malcolm X. Mr. X wanted you to form your own government, your own wall street and become financially independent.
MLK merely wanted you to get along, which also means getting along with The State, that's constantly fucking you.

Who was it who interned Japs, Germans & Italians into camps? It wasn't the Gop. It was actually the Gop who gave Okinawa back to Japan, and it was the Gop who paid back Japan reparations, all of this was under Nixon, but you never hear about that coz it goes against the narrative of Gop bad, Dnc good, when they're both bad, lol! One of them is just more-so.
Who was it who started the Civil war? The confederates were an actual sovereign nation, who yes they did have slaves but so did the rest of the world. On top of that, if the Civil war were fought to end slavery, why is it that the Yankee Doodle North still owned Chinese slaves?

Abe Lincoln was the original war mongering lobbyist. Americans love war, due to how much money they make off of it.
Americans are such cowards that they didn't even fight the Confederates. They hired a million man army of Mercs from France & other foreign countries & overwhelmed them with sheer numbers.

I'm old enough (and I'm not even that old. I'm still in my 30s.) to remember when the Confederates were actually viewed as just another country that the USA allegedly conquered.
Confederate flags used to be on children's tv shows and those sexy Daisy Dukes shorts? (That only tranny men seem to wear these days.) Those shorts actually came from the Confederates too. There's a ton of culture from the South that we suddenly just erased during the 2010s. That's why I'm against the USA, trying to erase everyone elses' culture, through the usage of our speech by replacing all of our language with Xs, in place of Os & As. Yeah it sounds stupid, but I'm not the one trying to degender speech. Americans are.

Damn near the entirety of the USA's history is a lie. I live in the North (North west but the culture is still fairly similar to the North East.) and I can tell you straight up that where I live, it looks damn near 95% White or at least it did a decade ago. These days I do see more Hispanic people but at least half of them are White (have blonde hair, blue eyes & shit but they speak Spanish and act like a Latin gangster.), who are culturally Hispanic.
What I'm getting at is that USA culture has this constant aggression towards the South when it's actually the South that is racially & culturally diverse. It's the South that's an actual melting pot, but it's also the South that's constantly being laughed at in American media. American media is mostly biased towards Northern Yankee sensibilities. Some would point out Hollywood, but Hollywood is not actually American. It's Jewish.

The funny part about the USA is that rich foreigners seem to get treated like kings while the American people are just a money tree, for those rich foreign billionaires that I call the 1%.
What the Left misinterprets about the 1%, is that they assume the 1% are White people. They're actually Jewish, Arabic & Asian Billionaires, lol.
Well in the case of the Middle East, they're actually trillionaires, but nobody is officially recorded as a Trillionaire in the books, coz Rich people don't fucking pay taxes. (You can't fucking tell me that the Saudi royal family aren't trillionaires. I see the way they live. It's completely unlike the way any American lives, coz Americans are poor compared to them.)
That's the joke! Lefties constantly want to raise taxes to eat the Rich when actually, that's exactly what the Billionaire class wants, to raise taxes to eat out the classes, lower than they are. Do y'all motherfuckers think Bill Gates pay taxes? Fuck no he uses his tax returns, lol. Similar to how Hillary uses a charity to funnel money into her bank account, but writes it off as aid to Haiti. (which is actually just human traffkicking. Similar to how Mexican Cartels use White Supremacist gangs to transport their drugs.)
Ironically only Trump seems to pay his taxes, but even then he only paid about $400. As I said, Rich motherfuckers don't pay taxes, or at the least, they pay very little.

The South gets hated on a lot because they're mostly Black, Mixed-raced, French & Hispanic. The only thing that comes close to Non-White in the North are the Italians & Jews, but Jews have actual power and Anglos bow down to them, because they're a culture of cucks who must always have a master to serverunder. Italians are just badass hombres who have created their own power structure.
Italians are a bunch of Lefties, but the way they act is typical Costra Nostra, very conservative, towards their own people and only their own people.

That's what's amusing about American culture though. They claim to be anti-racist, anti-fascist, anti-sexist while at the same time being every single one of those things, but the main groups that they often target are the most multicultural (as in they have cultures that are completely foreign to Urban City dwellers.) such as The Dirty South, lol! If I actually took modern American culture seriously, I'd be confused, but I don't. I've always known American culture was a joke since the late 90s after I pieced together that we were lied to, about Saddam's incubator babies, lol.
When I moved to Japan during the late 90s, I saw constant lies about Japan, coming from motherfucking America, and they still do it to this day. It actually got a bit better under Bush, but that's coz American Japanese relations always seem to get better under GOP presidents.
DNC potus were beholden to China even back in the 90s so they often spread China's propaganda in the USA school system. I saw this first hand coz I went to school in the USA for 3 years & was supposed to attend school in Japan for 4 years but I dropped out.

The only thing that has changed about American news media is that Americans now constantly lie to the American people and most of what American people believe to be true, are actually lies that nobody in the rest of the world believes except for Americans.

The USA likes to laugh at North Korea, but the amount of revisionist history that we believe is near on par with North Korea. (North Koreans believe that the world outside of Best Korea is a post-apocalyptic hellhole that was nuked to hell by the USA, and that it was their gods, the Kim Jong family who are the only ones in the world who are able to stand against the USA menace.)

The only reason why the USA isn't full blown North Korea yet (it's getting there.), is because guns haven't been fully outlawwed. Not that Americans will actually use their guns, but still, the threat of a gun is what causes the State to use some caution towards its attempt to take control of everything in our life.
It's actually legal to own a gatling gun or a tank, or even your own Air Force in the USA, but most Americans don't know that, coz their own fucking media keeps lying to them.
Shit, Waco Dave Koresh was like another example of an attempt at a peaceful secession, but the USA government just outright murdered them and burned babies alive coz Dave Koresh dared to go full Gaddafi on them.

It's the same pattern over & over. If you dare to separate from the USA, you get your entire bloodline erased and your country destroyed, replaced by USA loyalists, said loyalists are actual dictators, but they claim to spread freedom so it's good! lol.

Anyway, in regards to FF7's remake I say it fell victim to how just about nobody, especially not in Square, remembers/knows that the game was made as a surreal and subversive game from the same post-modernist wave in Japan that gave us Utena and Evangelion.

There's the designs, such as how Tifa and Aerith are designed so how you assume them to be at first glance is at odds with their actual personalities (you assume Tifa's just some slut rather than the girl-next-door type who's actually not that open on wanting Cloud, and assume Aerith's some pure maiden when she's the one who chases Cloud's cock around). The setting (a warped version of our world in the 90s rather than some eternally quasi-Medieval setting). The heroes (mercenaries, ecoterrorists, girls from defeated countries aka JRPGJapan...) and villains (a megacorp and its creations) all being modern and connectable to problems like terrorism or ecological disasters (even Sephiroth is ultimately the living representation of Shinra's greed and dominance), rather than villains like time demons or killer trees. Even the triangle of Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith can be called revolutionary at the time since it had the hero (Cloud) have two women he shows an obvious interest in with those same women returning said obvious interest (Tifa and Aerith) but rather than choose between them or have either of them choose someone else Sephiroth kills one of them while still keeping it open to a point.

You can see the change by comparing Zack's demise in the original with Crisis Core's version:

To sum it up, Zack's death in the original is not at all glorious or glamorous. He gets put down like a dog. Nothing about him fending off an entire army carrying heavy artillery and helicopters. FF7 was reliable on not glamorizing killing as far as the major cast goes (the non-playable Avalanche members die brutally, Seto sacrifices himself with son spending much of his life hating him until knowing what really happened to his father, Mr. Shinra gets killed before anyone in Avalanche gets a crack at him and Rufus is if anything even worse than his father was, Rufus himself gets blown up by a Weapon showing he was no less arrogant than his father in believing he could rule/use the Planet as he saw fit, Aerith's death comes in as a shock and Cloud just falls apart).

Even something like Tifa's remake character design comes off as a compromising. I suspect they considered changing her design so it'd be less "lewd" but realized it's too iconic to flat-out transform by making her wear shorts and a full shirt or something so they went with her rather overdesigned current form in remake.

Most importantly, enough of the actual plot was absurd/wacky, such as the entire Shinra HQ infiltration which is hilariously weird. Or Rufus going out of his way to commandeer the Tiny Bronco, a tiny personal air-craft that serves no purpose to Rufus what so ever that can't be covered by the fleet of cargo helicopters stationed at Junon or an airship. The entire game is far out there, and you're invited to relish in the camp and the sheer chaos of the experience rather than waste time nit-picking for srs brs details etc. which bear no real impact on the important notes of the plot to begin with (which would be Cloud's existential journey, and the themes dealing with loss, man's relationship with his planet...). It's an ephemeral, visceral experience. It's a story portrayed in glorious LSD animu graphics with bizarre and impossible architecture, super-saturated color-palette, with weird and eccentric characters fighting weird and eccentric enemies (like a house morphing into a killer robot, or a giant revolver firing rockets). FF7 did not give fucks about anything or anyone. It was a trip, and it was a trippy one at that. The compilation, and the remake are not congruent with the original, and that's how come they all end up feeling really really inappropriate/bad. The narrative of FF7 was ultimately not designed to be some gritty grounded story, like say, 24. Try to make it "srs bus realism" and then suddenly all the absurdities became readily apparent and jarring as hell. The more you try to force it, the more contrived and corny it becomes. Which is how all the spin-offs (and most surely the remake) end up awkward and and melodrama.

I don't think Nomura, Nojima and Kitase see this anymore if they ever did. Nomura, Kitase, Nojima and the rest of the major FF creators in SE took the wacky shit seriously. The stuff they design just reeks of bad fan-fiction. The stuff they design, is now the game-development and artistic equivalence of the user-names that babies' first edgelords pick for their characters in MMOs/RPGs/Fanworks since they think it's "kewl" (onewingangeledgelordmega and similar).

A trailer has finally been released for Fantasian. It looks great to me. Only problem is that it a fucking "IPHONE!" exlcusive... Its a full featured console style RPG, but its only on the fucking Iphone.

A gameplay trailer for Kuro No Kiseki has been released. Its looks...okay. Nothing special. Not compared ot the like of something like Tales of Arise which ALSO just got a new trailer.

LOL SMT Nocturne is finally priced, and it's overpriced with shit tons of DLC. Atlus be acting like Koei Tecmo, weird coz Atlus is owned by Sega who aren't anywhere near as retarded with DLC.
https://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/s ... er-switch/
This game is goddamn ugly in HD. At least the lighting is still good. I've been wondering why I think the Trials of Mana remake is ugly as hell (except for the character models. They look exactly like the 90s anime art from the original game.) and I realize it's due to the lighting & shadowing. It's near nonexistant in the remake whereas the SNES Trials of Mana has some of the most realistic shadows & lighting out of the entire SNES library.

This SMT Nocturne port is overpriced as fuck imo, coz Ninja Gaiden collection is only $40, but even if it were $50, that still be worth it.
Even Sigma 2 at least has Mission mode, which makes up for the shitty ass Sigma 2 campaign.
What makes me laugh about Ninja Gaiden, is that I can instantly see when peeps have played them or not coz damn near everyone on the internet just repeats the same stupid bullshit that they read off of Reddit or Neogaf or something in regards to the Ninja GAiden series. There's shit tons of misinformation about NG. Sigma 1 is actually a masterpiece. Fuck the haters, most of whom, haven't even fucking played it, lol!
Sigma 2 is bad when compared to NG2, but it's still a 7 out of 10. When Ninja Gaiden fans rate a NG game bad, it doesn't mean that the game was bad, it's just a bad NG game. There's a difference. I think Razor's Edge is a fucking terrible NG (NG3 even worse.), but a damn great game. Razor's Edge beats the shit out of Assassin's Creed & Arkham Batman. That's how sad modern gaming is today, instead of Ninja Gaiden we get bullshit like God of War 4. (Gow 1-3 were good alternatives to NG though.)

Goddamn it.
https://www.rpgsite.net/news/10865-squa ... remastered
I'm gonna have to buy this fool price coz it sounds like they added in even more content than what they already cut out from the original release. Fuse's scenario sounds like an epic battle royale that acts as an endgame to all 8 campaigns. The more characters you complete, before attempting Fuse, the more options you get during Fuse's game. SF1 PSX didn't really have an endgame. I think I recall a hidden region you could access where you'd fight every single final boss from the game, which is when I first realized just how weak Red is without his Alkaiser form.
Alkaiser battle theme is badass as fuck btw. NOW THAT IS HEAVY METAL!

In that hidden region mode, I think I was only able to beat it with Asellus's crew & Blue. I think those two are also the most powerful. Shit in Blue's story, he's so damn strong that he doesn't even get an ending coz his own people sealed him in Hell as a fail-safe, both in case he lost, and in case he lived. Blue is too dangerous to live.
Red is about two tiers below Asellus & Blue. The Robot is a tier below Red, and everyone else are just chumps.

Riki's game is the hardest precisely coz damn near everyone in his crew is weak except for Gen & the chinese kung fu guy. I fucked up, and I used Mei Ling (Since I mained Mei in nearly every campaign in the game.), but she's the final boss in Riki's game where she's part of Riki's story and his best friend, so I lost one of my best party members lol!
Emilia's campaign is really good though but even when I got to the final boss of her game, you could easily tell that he's actually the weakest final boss, of Saga Frontier. Blue, Lute & Asellus have the hardest bosses, coz I can't beat them with a non-Blue or non-Asellus crew. Lute is like the Monika or Barbara of SF1, he starts out fucking weak but can be made into one of the stronger characters if you build him up enough. An optimal-build Lute is prob as good as human Red, but vastly weaker than Alkaiser Red.

That's like my one gripe with Romancing Saga 3, you only get one end game and it happens in your first playthrough. It was set up more like Fallout (before Failout even existed lol.) in the sense that your endings change depending on what you did, and your endings reflect the consequences of your actions.
In Julian's game, you can end his intro by running away with the princess (which is what I did.), or guarding her on her way to her wedding, only for you two to get shipwrecked, with Monika seeming being killed in the aftermath. RS3 is pretty dark for a SNES game, Almost feels like a Genesis rpg in terms of story lol.

In Minstrel Song, you had to beat the game at least 3 times (with 3 different characters) before you finally got to the Endgame scenario.
You reach the endgame after you see the endgame cutscene with Darque, and recruit Dargue in your next playthrough with a different character. By the third time you beat Minstrel Song, you have to find God, who will grant you some kind of awakening that opens up a different pathway through the final dungeon. What I thought was clever, is finding out who God is in the Romancing Saga franchise. It's like the more obvious character, yet at the same time you'd never guess. I know I didn't. I just assumed that I saw that motherfucker everywhere I go, due to gameplay purposes of needing some chump who relays to you exposition.

I've been playing the fuck out of Romancing Saga 3 Switch version. The new journal they added, and the revamped skill system alone are worth the price of admission. I just wish I could use the original gfx though. It's fucking weird how everything is in high res except for the character sprites lol.
I played it side by side with Saga Scarlet Grace, but for some reason. I really don't like Scarlet.
It's funny coz Grace has the best combat, and also has the most story but for some reason it's just really boring to me. I hate how I have to read about everything that I'm doing, rather than just doing it.
RS3, Minstrel Song & SF1 felt far more adventurous & atmospheric coz they barely had any plot, they just threw you into the world and you were left to figure it out yourself.

Saga Grace bores the fuck out of me, coz they always try to add context to every single thing you're doing but it's fucking boring to me coz every single action in Scarlet Grace is just me walking to a new location, reading a bunch of shit from my main party, and then we enter a fight. There's plenty of good contextual reasons that they come up with to rationalize the fight but it's just boring to me coz I feel that the fights are far too puzzle-based.

Grace's battles are centered around building the right team with the right formation yet for some reason Saga Graces has no fucking macros or ability to create premade teams. You have to fucking rebuild your team after every battle, by scratch. It's so damn time consuming.
It's funny coz Saga Frontier 1 & Last Remnant allowed you the ability to create premade teams that you would switch back & forth from depending on the enemy formations & allignment.
Saga Graces doesn't even have a party limit, so you could very well have a party filled with over 50 characters which makes it even more fucking mind-boggling that it doesn't have the ability to create premade teams.

I don't ever feel as though I'm exploring coz I'm just reading everything. IN RS1/Minstrel Song,RS3 & SF1, you were constantly breathing in the atmosphere of the places that you traveled to, just through the art design alone.
I'm guessing that this is the price you pay, for finally having character models that actually sorta resembles Tomomi's art. RS1/Minstrel Song, RS3 & SF1 all have butt ugly character models that look nothing like her art
(Tomomi's art style resembles Ayami's Castlevania, minus the androgyny. Tomomi's men look like beasts and her women look sexy.)
Since the budget wasn't wasted on the sprites, they had enough to create an interesting world with enough worldbuilding to build an entire series of games under. It's a sad shame how not a single Saga game has ever had a direct sequel, aside for the Gameboy sagas.

I guessing that Kawazu just doesn't have it in him to make another Romancing Saga 3/ Saga Frontier any more.
RS1,3 & Saga Frontier were all made within the same timespan of the 90s, only a couple years apart. Minstrel Song from the early 2000s is actually way better than RS1, but the overall game & world design was created during RS1. Minstrel Song just added in all of the new shit from RS3 & SF1.
Kinda like how Saga Frontier 2 is like a much better version of RS2. Do not listen to the retards who swear to you that RS2 is the best Saga. I honestly don't understand where that mindset comes from coz the gameplay is ass. You're forced to use magic, when my intro to the series (SF1 & RS3) taught me that I can build my parties any way i wish, so long as I understand the ruleset.
That's also why I really like Xenoblade 2, coz you can build your party any way you wish (I use Zeke as my main healer, equipped with ATK-based Healer blades & Kos-Mos), so long as you understand the ruleset. The problem is most people don't coz they're too used to MMO bullshit from Xb1.

Saga Scarlet Grace feels like a far more refined version of Unlimited Saga, which was the worst Saga I've ever played.
Scarlet Grace is actually decent, but it's only decent imo. It's weird coz the combat & music are an easy 10 out of 10, but the overall game flow is so fucking repetitive that I can't stand playing Saga Scarlet Graces for more than an hour at a time.
In RS1/Minstrel Song, SF1 & RS3, I can go for hours not getting into a single fight at all, because you do a lot more in these games than just fighting. RS3 even had minigames that were deep enough to be their own game.
https://romancing-saga-3.blogspot.com/p ... games.html
The best part of all is how those mini games were actually part of the plot, which added even more atmosphere to RS3.

I guess atmosphere is what I really loved about those 3 Saga games. I don't feel all that immersed in Saga Graces at all coz it feels like I'm just flipping through a wordy picture book, and moving around chess pieces, rather than exploring & adventuring through the world.

I beat Scarlet Grace with Urpina. I got 2 of her endinging. One where you marry this dude who want overthrow the Kingdom and you join him(which you have to actually play through) and one where you kill the Firebring or whatever his name is. Then I started playing the Sorcerer chicks route, but I got stuck, because that shit is hard easy when I turned it to easy despite me having perks from it being my second playthrough.

I thought the side stories were interesting. One thing I didn't know in the beginning is that there are choices you can make that can give you bad endings to quests or even completely break them and making them unfinishible. The crimson shard battles were a motherfucker. I even beat one of the gods. You are suppose to do this kind of combat puzzle thing to make her leave, but I poured damage on her and killed her before she powered up. I like some of the side stories. Some of them were kind of dark, but that's Saga.

Damn, why'd there have ot be so many good games coming out. I haven't even got Bravely Default 2 yet, then there Saga Frontier and Monster Hunter Rise. Nintendo needs to space this shit out.

I don't see why anyone would want a BS5 or Series X. They have no games, but then the PS4 was like that at launch and everyone still rushed to buy that crap. Nintendo is killing it. I hope they don't drop the ball with the new system they are working on.

I fucking love Saga's music.

DANCE MOTHAFUCKA! DANCE!!! SHAKE DAT ASS! SHOW EM WHAT YOU WORKING WITH!

It's like everytime I play a Saga game, I'm always saying "HOL LEE FUK, DATS DAH BEST SONG I EVAR HURD!"

Mang fuck, I thought I had Saga Frontier preordered but it got overrided with that Fortnite Crew sub which just automatically charged me yesterday, and I can't refund coz Nintendo doesn't do refunds. (Gaystation & Xbawks do.)
The only reason that I'm not completely pissed off about it, is coz the new Alli skin is pretty hot.
She looks like a White version of Twintelle from Arms.

I just preordered Monster Hunter Rise today (I did it for the Doggo Golden Retriever preorder bonus! That Golden Retriever looks like a giant version of muh Labrador Shiba mutts that died 6 years ago.)
I've always hated Monster Hunter, didn't understand their appeal but I've been addicted as fuck to the demo.
Monster Hunter actually makes most of Capcom's franchise's obsolete. Why play Onimusha when Long sword controls exactly like Onimusha? Why play Dino Crisis when light & heavy bow play like RE6 combat but with Dinosaurs?

What finally made me understand the appeal of MH was when I was fighting Mizutsune. It's that the one who shoots bubbles at you? Well I was playing as light & heavy bow, playing it like Contra and when those bubbles came flying at me, I saw myself dodging & shooting the same way I would if I were playing Alien Soldier or Hard Corps coz those bubbles come flying at you as if you were playing a shmup.

MH is basically a 3d version of 16 bit era Boss rush games, except Rise is even more awesome coz you actually see the bosses fighting & trying to kill each other.
Another thing I noticed, MH Rise's gunplay feels just like Resident Evil 6, lol. You even have the RE6 slide. I was wondering why Cap let that system go to waste. Apparently they didn't, they just gave RE6's shooting to MH of all friggin things, and it works. Projectile based MH actually does feel like an old school Boss Rush RunNGun.

I'm gonna be so damn hooked on MH RIse when it drops. I've been looking for a Switch game to finally give me that Nioh itch, and this looks to be it until Ninja Gaiden Master Collection releases later in the year.
I main Long sword too, that's fun. I just talked about the Bow guns, coz I was shocked that they played so much like RE6's gunplay, even the RE6 dodge & evasion system is intact. The only thing that's missing is crawling on the ground & shooting, but that'd be a waste in this game since the monsters are huge enough to just eat you.

I saw me a pre owned complete copy of the Switch version of Trials of Mana (just tear the sticker off, and it'll look brand new.), I'm thinking of picking it up when I get my copy of MH Rise.
I traded in my Mario games for MH RISE which gave me 10 extra dollars.
Mario games are damn good, but they're for casual gamers. I'm a hardcore gamer (despite what internet fags may call me. They call me plenty of inaccurate things anyway.), so Megaman Zero is more my style.

MMZero is the real Dark Souls, it's the hardest fucking game I've ever played. I started laughing when the after-credits screen told me that I unlocked "Hard" mode, coz I'm like I thought I was playing hard mode? Goddamn this shit was hard on motherfucking normal. Even Ninja Gaiden lets you keep your dignity by making Normal & Hard a walk in the part when compared to Master Ninja. In MMZero, the default difficulty is Master Ninja.
I hope Capcom focuses on Megaman more now, now that they know for sure that Devil May Cry games sell like shit.
Give Megaman that same budget, and his games will explode in popularity if you make it as highly polished as a 3d Mario game.
(Don't do any of that Legends garbage. Keep it pure action.)

I like games where I do a lot of theory crafting (dungeon crawlers, roguelikes) or devising tactics & strategy (fighting games) I like games that are deep enough to were I can play them for 1000s of hours and still discover new shit. The Saga franchise is the king of that. I never even found God in Minstrel Song until my 16th playthrough or something (I don't use faqs. I try to figure everything out myself.) as Aisha.
I was just fucking around in that Aisha game. Doing shit I'd normally wouldn't do. Aisha fucking got kidnapped in that playthrough, and then she got saved by Jamil, and then I kicked him out of the party after he rescued me lol!
I love just how fucking random these Saga games are. You'd never see any thing like this from a normal Rpg.

I'm still at the part where Urpina is helping to build a church. Well, it's the free roam portion of her game , & I basically just chase around some Blonde dude that I don't even recognize but he's supposedly story relevant coz Urppy seems to know who the fuck he is. I don't remember but the last time I played this game was way back in 2019.

It's funny how I'm just talking mad dogshit about Scarlet Grace's combat but at the end of the post I also said that the combat is a 10 out of 10, which it is.
It's the best damned turnbased combat I've ever seen. (Way better than Xcom 2, which is one of the better examples from modern games.)

Scarlet Grace's combat is so damn detailed. In fact part of the reason why I don't have as much fun with it is coz the combat is so balanced. There's no ultimate kill move to nuke everyone with. Even my go to tactic (Urpina Dual Whirlwind, Ogniana Dimensional Break, & Elysed Call Lightning.) requires at least 3 full turns to kill an entire horde off coz Urpy & Oggy keep fucking missing or every single one of their hits, land on one guy but misses the rest of the group. Elysed takes 3 turns to charge up her lightning which usually nukes everyone else who's still standing.

I use Nessa & Jamto as my two tanks, well Jamto is the tank. Nessa is my counter puncher who tries to parry & counter every body. I just have the big Jamto oaf stand in front of Elysed and let him die if the heat on Elysed gets that hectic.
My B team is Lewis Darling, Zigor, Kahn, Lady, Roh Sung or Miranne. I only keep one mage active at a time coz of the way the level up system works for mages. Roh is my best debilitator. Miranne does group healing but her usefulness isn't as great later in the game. (I have no idea if I'm in midgame or late.)
I just bench nearly everyone else lol. Even for missions, I typically send my B team out for that coz of the stat gains from missions.
I thought the side stories were interesting. One thing I didn't know in the beginning is that there are choices you can make that can give you bad endings to quests or even completely break them and making them unfinishible.

Yeah every Saga game is like that. Fuck, I never even knew that Asellus had a Dark Lord ending where she goes full Mystic and rules over Facinataru with an iron fist. I played her game so many times, but it seems that the ending I spoke of in a previous post was actually her ending when she maintains a balance between Human & Mystic skills.

Kinda funny though, coz I think Asellus is way stronger as full human or hybrid, rather than full on Mystic. Mystics are like the 2nd weakest race in the game after monsters. Every single one of them sucks except for maybe the naked Mermaid chick. Even the badass Akuma lookalike is fucking garbage! Mystics always have some cool gimmick that makes them seem stronger than humans, but their overall growth potential is ass, aside for Asellus who gains bursts of power through her Mystic gains.

Robots are actually stronger than most humans, but they cost a lot of upkeep to maintain wheras as human just needs to rest at an inn.
The crimson shard battles were a motherfucker. I even beat one of the gods.
That's what I love about Saga. You eventually become strong enough to take on the gods themselves. You do it enough times, you eventually unlock super secret battles where you have to fight powered up versions of those gods. I even fucking killed Death in Minstrel Song, how the fuck you kill something that's already the God of Death? LOL!

My fave battle was vs Shirach, and you couldn't face her during the first playthrough or even the second.

I never even noticed how heavy metal influenced Saga's osts always were.
That dude's team fucking sucks though. He only has main characters in his crew and he uses a horrid fucking build for Claudia. Claudia is one of the stronger charcters though, if you focus her on bows & spears..

I think that's what really bothered me most about Xenoblade 1, the lack of a proper postgame.
Challenge mode should've been it, but XBDE's challenge mode is a joke.
XB2's challenge mode feels like Monster Hunter, you're wasting 20 minutes just trying to kill off one giant ass freak. I'll never ever complete challenge mode coz it's too fucking hard, and that's exactly why I like it. It's the thrill of trying to find the right solution through countless failed attempts.

I don't see why anyone would want a BS5 or Series X. They have no games, but then the PS4 was like that at launch and everyone still rushed to buy that crap. Nintendo is killing it. I hope they don't drop the ball with the new system they are working on.
Consoletards only care about muh EPIC GFX & MUH 60 FPS! Switch is a console, but they're the only console that's trying to maintain the spirit of gaming, over that lame Multimedia Entertainment center bullshit that Xbawks & Gaystation push.

Holy fuck, it's hell at MH Rise boards right now coz every damn thread is Sony fags constantly shitting on how it looks like a PS2 game or something, lol.
PS2 games sure get better & better looking every year though. I don't recall any PS2 game ever having physics engines like Rise, or animations as lifelike as Rise.

What I really hate about Soyny fags, is that they constantly talk about Nintendo Switch as if the system is making Nintendo bankrupt. It's like, what fucking world are they living in? They still talk about the Nintendo Switch as if it were Niche, when every time I fucking go to gamestop, I'm almost always seeing everyone buy Switch games. I'm even seeing Gangbanger looking people buy Switch shit now, and you'd be thinking they'd be the last hold outs for the Gaystation. I guess Gaystation became too gay that even they ran away back to Nintendo.
Soyny actually banned one of my accounts coz I used the name "KrazyThotKilla", lol! They also emailed me a month ago to tell me that they deleted a few of my old groups coz we were toxic or something. WTF IS GOING ON WITH SONY? THey're so damn gay now. Gaystation was supposed to be a meme, they weren't meant to literally embody all that is GAY, lol!

There's only two Big Dogs in gaming right now, and that's Steam & Nintendo. XboxSEIRRESIXXXXX & PS5 are stuck in the past (where the only thing that matters is GFX, even though their gfx suck.), and are going to go the way of the ghost. Consoles will eventually die. All they do is give you shitty versions of shitty PC games. (nobody plays good pc games on consoles lol. ) The Console exclusive games are just overpriced movies that nobody outside of gamers, watch.

Nintendo will survive coz they already adapted to the modern world, by conditioning their audience into accepting a portable tablet as a videogame system. People generally love their porta-potty tech, like the Iphone. Fuck I have me an Apple Watch (it was a present.) and I think it's a piece of shit but I love showing it off coz everyone seems to want one for some reason. I guess retards get really amazed by a fucking watch that talks to you and then records how long it took you to take a shit lol.
I fucking hate this thing mang, it once turned on while I was in the car and congratulated me for running a speed record, when I was in a fucking car. I wasn't running.

I fucking hate Nintendo, but I hate Soyny & Microdik way more.
I wish Sega weren't so stupid. I even saw a Nintentard claim that Nintendo created online gaming on consoles through the DS, and I'm like DREAMCAST anyone? Why does Sega get erased out of the history books as if they don't exist any more? They're not Atari. Sega is still a world power in the world of gaming.
Sega just can't compete against Sony & Microdik propaganda which is why they don't try to re-enter the system market. I'm actually hoping for Soyny to completely die off so Sega could renter, but far more likely, it will be EA Games "GIVE ME YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER FAGGOT, BEFORE YOU'RE GRANTED THE RIGHT TO PLAY THE GAME THAT YOU ALREADY WASTED $80 on. HAH HAH LOSER, YOU PAID $80 for the BASE GAME THAT'S MISSING ALL OF THE CONTENT, UNTIL YOU PAY FOR OUR OVER PRICED DLC, piecemealed to you for $50 each just like SIMS4!"
that will take the reins of Soyny. Xbox is too big to fall due to Microdik.

I've had the entire OST for most of the SAGA games on my PC for over a decade. Unlimited Saga sucked, but it had great music.

I've just about finished Cold Steel 3. Man, the plot and characterizations of character from previous games have really taken a nosedive. Every character felt unique with a distinct personality in older Trails games. The old characters that they've started bringing into this one all have such flat personalities now like the character in the Erebonia games. Josette was a tomboy like Estelle with a more roguish persona, but now she has a calm and proper demeanor. Agate was really hotheaded, aggressive and thuggish. Now he's just kind of stern. Olivier is kind of the same but less with flirtatious and extravagant behavior. Its like all the edge has been trimmed off of characters from the older games.

I also don't like how the plot and mechanics basically trivialize the strength of the more powerful characters from earlier games or cheapens the impact of previous games events. All the plot elements feel like they are becoming more homogenized and standardized.

Goddamn it, they added new voice acting to Nocturne and the voice acting is really good.
The voice actors add tons of atmosphere to Nocturne.

I was gonna skip it, but I dunno. The problem is, even if I buy it. I prob won't play it.
I replayed Nocturne about 6 times, but that's enough for my lifetime.
It's not like a Saga game where I'm constantly discovering new secrets or weird random shit, such as you can you actually get kidnapped in Minstrel Song to become part of a Sultan's Harem of sloots, if you get killed as Aisha or Barbara.

Physical Nocturne Switch would be a def purchase for me if Ninja Gaiden Master Collection weren't also coming about a month later, for $10 less.
If Switch doesn't get a NG physical then I'll go with Nocturne. Problem is, I still play the shit out of the NG games. If Sigma 2 doesn't come with the single player version of the challenge multiplayer mode then I'll prob skip it.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma games were kinda like Xenoblade 2 in that I spent 100s of hours on just the challenge modes alone.
Krizzx wrote: Sun Mar 28, 2021 9:12 pm I've had the entire OST for most of the SAGA games on my PC for over a decade. Unlimited Saga sucked, but it had great music.

Fuck I was going to post that song. The most hype sewer theme ever. The coolest part about the sewer is how could sneak into the King's harem through the sewers. There was also a murderous cult hiding out in those same sewers. it's what I like most about Saga games, there's so much shit going on in their worlds and you're just some random idiot wandering around all over the place.

The BIoLab theme being the most iconic for me. That song sounds like tragic death, and most of us who stumbled on to that place usually get crushed to death by that giant mutant turtle lol!

Here's another hype theme that's as upbeat as the Sewer cut.

Friggin sounds like Megaman.

I loved all of Asellus's themes. She's what got me into the Baroque genre of music.

Damn that song is beautiful.

Beautiful is how I would describe most of Saga's music.

I never even really noticed that damn near all of my fave gaming themes came from Saga, loL!

I recall SF1 being one of the only games I owned for a year, but I must be misrembering since SF1 came out in the USA in 1998. I remember being so poor that I had to put it on layaway and didn't get it till 1 month or 2 later.
I recall playing the hell out of SF1 every day after school but if I look back to my timeline, that would've only been one month at most since I finally bought SF1 in May near the end of the school year.
By mid 98, I was already in Japan so there's no way that Saga was the only game I had coz I was loaded with yen by then.

Legend of Legacy has good music, but I didn't like the gameplay. I don't really like the gameplay for any of the Saga wannabes like Alliance Alive or Legend. A shame, coz I liked everything else from the art to the music, since it's all done by the Saga team.

I loved the R&B beats from Unlimited.

Unlimited is the one Saga that I don't care about ever seeing on Switch though. Bring the rest of the Saga series except Unlimited. I gave that game so many chances. It never clicks with me.

I've just about finished Cold Steel 3. Man, the plot and characterizations of character from previous games have really taken a nosedive. I lost interest by the end of Cold Steel 2 and never went back to it. Screenshots of Cold Steel 4 look interesting though, only coz Estelle is back. It'll most likely be like her 3rd game though, where she's basically just a cameo and didn't add much to the story. Kinda weird to backseat somewhat who was the original protaganist. Or at least that's the impression I got from it. I never played the third Estelle game coz you don't even start out as Estelle. I liked Estelle coz she was so goofy & funny, like Grandia's Justin.

I didn't know they have a full complete event for Romancing Saga: MS. When I was younger I would do stuff like this. I still remember unlocking the Angel Slayer on Valkyrie Profile and the Extra Mode on Silhoute Mirage. Each requiring you to beat the game a large amount of time. I don't have time for this kind of thing anymore, though. The game would need to have a lot of compelling content for me to even attempt it. Romancing Saga on the PS2 was a really good game, though. So much content. So much replayability. They don't make them like this anymore.

Has anyone here every checked out Gran Blue Fantasy? I've heard it pop up here and there for years, but it never interested me. Look like a generic medieval Europe themed anime game with typical anime characterizations and PG content. Not something I'm into, but the combat in this looks kind of interesting. Like an RPG musou game.

I've played MS for over thousands of hours but I never saw that ending coz I never bothered to beat it as Albert. Most of my playthroughs were as Aisha, Barbara & Claudia. Claudia had the best story. Aisha had the most unique events (she can get kidnapped, she has that entire desert section, you can find hidden villages as Aisha just looking for her tribe.) & Barbara had the Lute-style Pure Openworld playthrough which is why I played Barbara's the most. The Pirate is awesome too, but his intro game is way too long, and you have to waste more money as Hawke since he's the pirate, which is why I prefer recruiting him.

Saga Frontier 1 had an All clear event too, called 2nd Division. It's what I was talking about a month or so ago, about how I learned that Blue & Asellus have the two strongest parties in the game, coz they fucking murder every single one of the last bosses no problem. The Robot & Red seemed OP, until they arrive at 2nd Division. Red is hadicapped without Alkaiser mode, and he can only transform into Alkaiser after everyone is dead during a 2nd division battle.
The Robot is strong as fuck (The only reason I put Asellus above the ROBO, is coz Asellus is the only character in the game who can MAX-OUT EVERY SINGLE STAT!), but a team of all robots will get you killed by Asellus or Blue's final bosses, really fast.

Emelia seems really strong in her own game due to her disguise gimmicks, but is actually one of the weakest despite how she gains access to some of the most powerful characters by default, the Gladius crew.

Riki & Lute are jokes, and don't deserve mention in the 2nd Division Battle Royale.
Can't wait for the Fuse campaign,

only 3 days left, since I'll be playing on the 15th, unless I go with Fighting Layer. it could go either way.
I do need a real fighter.
I still remember unlocking the Angel Slayer on Valkyrie Profile and the Extra Mode on Silhoute Mirage.

Xenoblade 2's combat feels like a modernized version of VP imo, since at high level play, it's all about knowing when to use your techs & which tier to op for depending on the situation, similar to VP's Soul Crushes.

I remember the Ethereal Queen from both VP & Star Ocean 2. Man, it sucks being introduced to SO through SO2, coz Star Ocean 2 is so damn good, only to later realize that the rest of the series fucking sucks.

You should get Trials of Mana remake, they added in a new postgame dungeon & extra chapter, which fixes the main flaw of the original game. Lack of a real endgame. The original had no final dungeon at all! The actual dungeon they added, was huge & actually felt like an epic end to a game.
Anise is also Mana's version of the Ethereal Queen.

LOL what a trash team. (Ironically, this was the best team in the SNES original due to how Hawk & Kevin could attack twice. Riesz had better utility than Duran, coz he was really fucking slow in the original.)
I can kill Anise in 3 minutes on Hard mode at lvl 70ish. (I used Duran as the aggro meat bag, Charlotte as the healbot & Angela as the walking butt naked nuke.)

He's on normal but he still took about 11 minutes to kill Anise, LOL!
He would've nuked her to hell as Angela. She is op as fuck once you have Ancient Power or Doppelganger with skills that refill her mp 25 every 5 to 10 seconds, like this guy demonstrated

(DAMN this guy is retarded. He's not using the shoulder buttons to quickly cast Ancient Curse. Gamers are getting dumber & dumber. He does everything the long way by opening up the menu and then choosing the spell, then the enemy when he could've done all of that with ONLY ONE BUTTON PRESS!)
LOL at the comment claiming that Riesz is broken. I think she's the most useless character in the remake. He's correct that Hawkeye & Angela are broken though. Hawkeye is prob the best overall character. What he lacks in strentgh he more than makes up for with his ninja skills (which function like Angela's magic.) & speed.

BTW the English voices are way better. Valley Girl Angela & Brooklyn Charlotte are way more charismatic to me than generic Japanese Angela & Charlotte Lollibitches. I really don't understand the fascination for girls that sound like 3 yr olds. Yet again, I think Riesz had the worst English voice. Every single line she says is so damn monotone. I actually miss Charlote coz I laughed at nearly everything she said due to how she sounds so much like a New York Jew, LOL!
For a English dub that actually is shit, look no further than God Eater 3. ALthough the jap voices were probably just as bad coz English God Eater 3 has fucking annoying sounding 3 yr old girls too.

That annoying baby voice, that's exactly what Japanese dubs always sound like to me. I don't understand why most people don't really notice that they're listening to 3 yr olds screaming, if the spoken language is Japanese.

Riesz & Kevin are trash in the remake, coz they didn't improve much from the original whereas Duran, Angela & Hawkeye got huge buffs simply due to the new combat system. For No Future, I'll prob role with Angela, Duran & Hawkeye since they seem to be the top 3 in the remake. Hawkeye has the fastest DPS, but Angela does the most dmg. Duran is just strong in every single area except speed, but he doesn't need speed when you have Angie or Hawkeye backing him up.

I never heard of Anise though, coz I never played any Mana game after Legend of Mana.

I was actually confused as to who she was coz when she suddenly appeared after TOM's credit scene, she just sudeenly appears and the game makes a big deal about her as if I'm supposed to know who the fuck she is. She looks cool though.

It's kinda like when I first met the Ethereals & Gabriel in Valkyrie Profile. I had no fucking idea who the fuck they were. Then I meet them again in Star Ocean 2, I'm like who the fuck are these guys? Internet was like something that you only used while visiting a library at the time, so I legit had no fucking clue who the fuck these Ethereals were supposed to be.

Xenoblade 2 had a similar thing going on, except you're fighting off Elma from XBX, AYY LMAO! A lot of people think that XBX gets disrespected, but it doesn't seem so to me. Monolith soft clearly depicts Elma as the strongest of the Xb protags, nearly every single chance they get. Even in promo art, they have Elma dead in the center with Shulk & Rex being hidden behind her.
Elma is also depicted as being able to solo your entire party, even with a full powered Shulk & Pneuma in it.

Too bad XB1's challenge mode was fucking trash. It didn't have an Ethereal equivalent at all. Fuck I would've marked out just for a Mythra/Pyra battle similar to DDS1's Demifiend battle.

I fucking hate it when Jrpgs don't have postgame content. It makes the game feel pointless, coz you don't get enough to time to truly test out your full powers.
It doesn't really matter to me with Western rpgs. Dragon Age Origins is insanely replayable despite how limited the actual playthroughs are, coz the entire game is hard on Nightmare.
Whereas Jrpgs (including Mana) force you to waste your time playing on easy mode for most of the gametime & only finally open up right when the game is over, so post content is needed.

LOL, yeah coz the world really needs more Musou games. KEK! Wasn't that a fighting game? The fighting game looked good as fuck, but I'm not interested in the setting at all. (I don't mind the Medieval Eurocuck setting for an rpg. It's bland as fuck for a fighter though. Soul Calibur is interesting because it focuses on combat arts from outside of Eurocuck land.)

It might become good during late game like Trials of Mana did. During the first half of TOM, it felt like a braindead musou game, but after you unlock the new difficulties and when you get to the postgame, TOM starts to play more like a strategy or MOBA/RTS game.

What I hate about Musou games is how weak you feel, coz you're hitting a motherfucker about 100s of times, but they still won't die.
That's exactly what the gmaeplay for that game looks like.

I like Monster Hunter, coz you see real damage being done to your opponent and the giant monsters even react to your damage by toppling over, slowly bleeding to death or run away after you hit them with a powered up charged attack.
Or in the case of guns, they run away crying as you keep shooting them in the fucking ass, lol!

With Musou style games though, I'm not really seeing any dmg feedback at all (Except Pirate Warriors 4.), so it feels like I'm not doing any dmg. (It's crazy to me that so many people like Age of Calamity coz it's just as fucking boring as every other Musou game.)
I think even in Trials of Mana, they show you slowing destroying a monster, by blowing up its eyes & limbs the more damage you do to it. It's just aesthetics though, since TOM's monsters will still follow their scripts until you've activated a new one depending on how much health it has left.

In Monster Hunter, the monsters either get severely weakened & will try to limp away to kill random monsters & eat them to regain their health, or they thrash out at you even harder when they're about to die depending on the individual monster's personality. (They don't all act the same, even if they're the same race. Most of the monsters also come in different sizes.)

That's what really separates Monster Hunter to me, from most other action or action rpg games. It's not mindless mashing, you have to react & counter the enemies plans since they don't mindlessly attack you. MH monsters want to actually survive the battle, so each battle feels different.
