Angry Joe is a great buffoon among others on the YouTube.
He might be unstable, but he always brings some good points in his videos.
However, his actions (or rather, words) have no effect on the industry.
From time to time, he brings up MADDEN games as an example of how bad, shitty, lazy moderns EA is.
His point is that MADDEN games 20 years ago were great and modern are not.
While he provided legit criticism on the matter, his voice is unheard by EA, mostly.
Small little win (if you can call even it that), EA added more players appearances into game editor.
In 24 that is, when in previous years there were only a handful of choices.
However, on a greater scale, his actions are meaningless, because there is no next step in this movement.
Dev makes a shitty game - Joe says its bad - We laugh - We move on - Joe moves on - Devs move on - Rinse and repeat
While he provides some fun time for us, corporate slaves, our lives aren't changing that much.
EA keeps pumping same product with no regard to its quality, common folks keep buying it, because they conditioned to.
Nothing ever changes.
Can you fight it? Can you take away NFL licence from EA, so that they can't make MADDEN games anymore?
Do you need to? Joe will stop making videos about shitty MADDEN and will move on to make videos about some other monopolistic giga corp with no concern to quality of theirs product.
Current day capitalistic countries are suffering from unability to provide any meaningful ideology to common folks.
You don't need to go that far into any mass media, just take a look on modern movies.
While this topic is quite concerning, and our society is wastly deprived to point no return.
We still can try to move that giant boat, but you can't do it alone.
Can you, now? In internet age you need one famous talking head to start creating mass movements in people consciousness.
Does it affect others? How deep does it go? Has it any consequences on the world, or those who own it?
Can you be vocal enough about some issue to be heard? Or have some work done after that?
Is Joe big enough to take down EA? Of course not. In fact, I think companies this big have no care in the world about it.
Even thou States have been devouring itself for the past 100 years or so, with idealistic approach to every issue at hand;
Drip-feeding people with things like "work hard and you'll be successful", "you're special", "live for yourself",
"you got to believe in it", "just start working in your garage" bullshit.
That is going for decades now, full on generations already born with such ideas in mind and there is no sign of stopping it.
And the fact that there were no major societal breakdown since WW2 (9/11 is a tragedy, but also a joke) and Great October Socialist Revolution.
I think we're heading in the wrong direction (in general), but there is a chance of change (like ant trying to stop a ferrari on a highway).
The reason why we are here right now (not in 2023, but on a escapism mass product public web forum) is because we are so out of touch with reality,
with current status of global issues (I don't care if kids in Africa are starving, but I really should be), with current status of local issues
(do you even know your neighboors, how many people live near you, do you know them all, any at all), the fact that we have to block out
all that outside noise to have some piece of mind. Endless audio visual distraction too keep our nimble brain to be occupied with some other shit.
Individualistic narcissistic egoistic exsitance in capitalistic world brings up the worst in people.
Overall level of mundane hatred already hit it's critical points decades ago.
Stopping this gaint ball of antagonistic madness will do a great harm, people would just die from overwhelming hopelessness.
This is as devastating as professor from Sunset Limited paints his world.
Maybe I already became one, but that's not important here.
Will we continue to suffer neverending nightmare or just make kids, so they can rule it out because we can't?
There is a brutal quote from Soviet space engineer, Korolev - "Criticize someone else's work, offer your own. Offer - then do it".
I like this quote, but if I'm being honest, I don't apply it to my everyday life.
Part of it is horror and fear of consequences (because I'm being conditioned for it) of my actions and re-actions.
Part of it is weak will and lack of forcepower in sharing a light to other ignorant apolitic people, who have no desire to start thinking.
I can't really blame them, since this what suppose to happen in current system.
Or I'm too stubborn to start talking to everyone.
But that's no different from screaming to a brickwall, I'll move on.
Back to the Joe message about MADDEN.
If there is one thing I glean from early Soviet era, that would be a power of masses.
Can Joe stop EA from doing bad merican football games?
Does he wants to that to happen?
Will he go on rallys and demonstration in front of EA HQ to raise his voice?
He sits in his house and screams on camera for common folk amusement. That's it.
That's why I say that "his words have no effect".
You can think "looks who's talking, mr. deep. how deep did you go in your revolution?"
I'm in no power to criticize Joe or any other vocal member of our planet.
My input in world and social issues is abysmal.
I already know the endresult of such actions, and just dont want to throw my life away.
But who knows, maybe it worth a try.
Many will think that direct apporach and social gatherings do jackshit and old AF, but they really aren't.
Ever since the Roman times people were gathering together to fight opposing forces of other people.
Times surely changed, but fundamental core basis of the solution is still here.
"offer your own" However, in order to even start having people such bizzare ideas of fighting for the better future
you have to educate them hard and long enough, so every and each of them could built space engines in their's garages.
Class divide doesn't help and only will continue to suppress any thought process or emotional bursts of injustice.
Slavery wasn't really cancelled, they just made work contracts instead of it.
I do think deep and long about such topics, and maybe I should stop.
Just get married, drink beer and watch football with friends.
Because nothing happened in chiananmen square
Keep living your delusional life of surrogate fulfillment. And I will too...
